We care more about whether you would lend your own notes or your own outfit to the person on the other side than about slogans. That is why a GoRent listing is never auto-published, and a host never lists until a person has looked at their ID.

Human KYC review
Every user uploads Aadhaar or PAN from the app. A staff member opens the photos, checks the name against the profile, and only then marks the account verified. Blurry, cropped, or mismatched IDs are rejected with a written reason so the user knows what to resubmit. Unverified hosts cannot list books or clothes.

Auto-published listings
Manual listing approval
When you list a textbook, a novel, a lehenga, or a bandhgala, it sits in a review queue. We look at photos, category (books or clothes only for now), price, and whether the host is already KYC-approved. If something is off, we reject it with a note. Live listings on the site have already passed this step.

Escrow, not cash in a parking lot
Rental fees and deposits move through Razorpay and stay with GoRent until handover is done. We do not allow off-platform UPI or cash for bookings. That is not drama — it is how both sides stay honest when a book comes back with missing pages or a blouse comes back stained.

Reviews that actually count
After return, both people rate the experience. Ratings stay on the profile. A host who repeatedly sends a damaged book or a renter who returns clothes late will be visible to the next person. Trust is a history, not a badge we print.
What we ask of you
If you host books
Photograph the cover and a few inside pages. Say if there are highlights. Do not list pirated PDFs or photocopies. We will reject listings that look copied, incomplete, or not actually a book.
If you host clothes
Photograph front, back, and any stains. Share size honestly. Dry-clean before handover. We will reject listings that are not clothing, that hide damage, or that belong in a category we do not support yet.
If you rent
Treat the item as if a neighbour lent it to you — because they did. Photograph at pickup. Return on time. Talk in the app, not on a private UPI chat. Off-platform deals break the trust chain for everyone.
Support when trust breaks
